When I was 10 my dad moved from Washington to Milton Freewater Oregon. He found a cute little house and had only been living there for a couple months when I went to visit for the first time. My brothers had told me about ghost sightings when I got there.
I thought they were just trying to scare me like brothers do. Naturally I just punched them in the arm and told them to shut up and stop trying to scare me. I unpacked my bags in my step sisters room and started to get settled.

I felt like someone was watching me but brushed it off as the stories getting in my head. That night I laid down and went to sleep I think I was only sleeping for about an hour when I woke up freezing cold.

I rolled over to pull the blanket up tighter and saw a very dark black figure standing at my feet. I was laying on the floor and was only ten so the figure seemed extremely large thinking back it was only 6 ft or so.
It didn't have any features no eyes or clothes. It did have a shape like a person only it was solid black and had a musty smell. I stared at it for about 45 sec and then pulled the covers over my head and closed my eyes.
After a few min the room temperture seemed to go back to normal and I gained the courage to remove the blanket from my head and it was gone. The following morning the only thing I could think was the stories my brothers had tried to tell me.
