Just stayed in room 109 at the Shilo Inn Newport for one night. That's the block down the bottom by the beach underneath the cafe. After going to bed and having turned all the lights out, I awoke to find the bathroom light on at about 1:00 a.m. I started hearing footsteps coming from the room above presumably room 209. They were directly above my bed and definitely from inside that room. They were very deliberate steps got up early and went to investigate

and could see that no guest had stayed in room 209 that night. Curtains were open, and nobody was there. I at no point felt threatened. Just a freaky
|
experience. I was happy to move on the next morning.

The ghost sighting was on Highway 20 out of Newport. It was almost like the man jumped in our car. I saw the terror in my mother's eyes. It was frightening. Then almost like being possessed, she began striking and kicking literally freaking out. It has not left her. She is terrified of my car. She believes he is in my car.
