Most say it is best that if one pulls off to let the van pass because if you try to outrun it it will speed up just as quick and will disappear just before you end up catching the attention of police for speeding. One source reported this van played chicken with them and did run them off the road back in 2008 between Oregon city and Santiam National Forest.

Comment by Ray: Its bs. It's an old mangled story that was posted originally in 2009 on an now long since gone website. People have been adding all sorts of nonsense to it twisting up into an horrendous mess. I should know. I wrote the original.

So I live in a house right by crooked River Park on N. E. 3rd st and all the houses on my block are reported to be haunted. I live in the basement of my house which was built in 1914 and I am terrified! My closet door opens by itself things fall off counters you can hear footsteps going up and down the stairs and it gives everyone goose bumps.
