I was new to the company and the area at the time, so I didn't speak to anyone about this experience until I'd spoken to my sister later that evening. She had lived in HR and had for some time. When I explained what I had heard and how incredibly clear it was she paused for a moment. Then very directly she informed me that the campus was originally developed as a Tuberculosis Sanitarium back in the early 20th century and that was basically where people

with the (then) deadly disease were sent to spend their final days. Again, hair standing up as this would quite clearly explain why I might hear the disembodied

hacking of some poor soul that passed away in a horribly long and painful manner.

So my family and I where super excited to move in to a new home. Especially me since I was finally getting my own room. When we moved to East 13th Street by the middle school I was in love! It was big and beautiful compared to our small apartment.
Once I was inside I felt un-easy and just not comfortable as if I was being watched type of thing. I thought I was being paranoid since it was only our first day there. I knew I needed to get used to it.
