In 1962 I knew three different people that told me a ghost story about the Asotin cemetery. None of these people knew each other. The story goes like this: one time there was a miner killed in a mine explosion.
Afterwards people searched for the miner but all they could find was just his right eye. So they buried in Asotin cemetery. Afterwards at night some people observed a strange orb of light in and around the graveyard.

into the cemetery one night and came out frightened looks on their faces and their hair had turned pure white as if they had the bejesus scared out of

them. One man went into the graveyard one night and was never seen again.
One person was chased by this ball of light. The story goes that this glowing orb of light is the miner's eye looking for it's body!.

Comment by Shirley: Oh my goodness the ghost in Asotin Cemetery. Remember it well. I was a teen anger as story goes there was a ghost. For anyone visiting there. You would have noticed a very large head stone with very big garnet ball that sits on top of it.
When cars came down the hill the head lights would hit it just right and glow.. It made a good story. The place was full of people waiting to see it.. Sorry no ghost showed up..
