I grew up in a house on 28th Street SE that was haunted. The first owners of the house went on vacation down to Arizona. On their trip they died in a car accident. The house sat vacant for quite some time. The family of the couple sold the house; years later my parents move in. We would see two dark shadows moving from what was my parents' room into my childhood room. On one occasion my brother and sister saw what they described as a black shadow

with a head whose legs faded to nothingness at about the knees. They said it was about seven feet tall.
A friend of mine saw what he called an

old lady curled up in the corner of my room staring at him when he stayed the night. My dad's friend who was a medicine man said there was a gateway between two worlds in the house. Things would fly off the shelf or be thrown down the hall. My parents still live there. Despite all the scary sounding sightings, none of us felt scared of what or whoever is in the house.
