I grew up on R Street SE which becomes Auburn-Black Diamond Road. My friends and I used to visit the multiple small parks which dot Green Valley Road which forks off from Auburn- Black Diamond Road at the Neely mansion location. One night in the interest of star gazing since the car we were in had a sun roof, we went to Metzler Park. There are no nearby lights as the park is basically a parking lot that has trails leading to the Green River,

mostly used by fisherman. It's back off the road a bit with one side of the parking lot lined with trees (behind this is the river) and on the other sides
|
by fields. The two of us settled in with the car off and sun roof open.
After about ten minutes of looking at the stars, I noticed fog rolling in. This is not unusual for the area, but I got an odd feeling from it. When I looked at my friend whose eyes were wide in fright, I realized I was not the only one with a really bad feeling. The feeling was of threat from multiple sources together like a group of people very upset that we were there.
