There is a little house that has been remodeled, but the original foundation and house are still there. My sister and I were walking one day and saw this elderly Asian lady standing on the side of the street. We asked her if everything was OK; she replied yes. Then she told us that her husband killed her family in that house. We looked at each other and asked ''how?'' She didn't really say anything, just kept staring at that house, so we walked with her a little ways down the road and said goodbyes as we parted. When we got to the gas station across the street we looked, and she was gone. So we asked the owners of the gas station if they saw anyone. They said no and that we were the only ones walking across the street. Very eerie.
We walked back through E. Ash St. and stopped at the corner of S. Almira and Ash St. We decided to have a look and enter the house. It was abandoned and very broken down. We had a look around and decided to go upstairs. As we went up we heard footsteps or something to that sound. We got up to the door, and it was locked. I stand 6' and weigh 240lbs, so I gave that door a good shove and nothing. We decided to go back downstairs, and as we turned around the door just popped open as if someone or something opened the lock. We went in without thinking anything of it. What was weird was it was summer, and the air was dank and dusty, yet the air outside was warm and clear. Also there were no windows, so we wondered why it would be cold in just that area.

Well we saw enough and got out of there because we thought we heard someone walking downstairs. We thought it was our friend. But when we got downstairs there was no one. We still haven't heard or found out the exact story of that house, but when I pass it at night I get chills as if someone or something is watching me. Very cool huh? Connell is a little town, but I have seen things in the dark that most have not seen or want to see. Hope this story inspires others to write anything about their little towns of ghosts or spirits that still wander the night.
