When I lived here as a kid, the house my dad rented (we used to live two blocks from the sore thumb tavern) was haunted by an elderly man that apparently had lived during a time before the house had indoor plumbing because he was fascinated with the toilet because it would flush by itself, he would turn the microwave oven on in the kitchen, and open and close the refrigerator door, he would make sure my sister and I were safe or giving the feeling of

reassurance that everything was OK by squeezing our shoulders in a friendly manner and then would go back to doing whatever he was doing at the time,

it wasn't scary just annoying.The first time we were introduced to the elderly ghost, I was watching hbo, and the movie ''the shining'' was on the scene where the blood flows out of the elevator was the scene that I heard footsteps coming down the stairs, the refrigerator open, and shut and the microwave oven go off, I thought my dad made a snack and I asked out loud if he wanted to see it with me, and there was no one there but I did feel a hand squeeze
