I was in the Klickitat County Jail - Goldendale Washington state in 1970 as prisoner(s) with a cousin. After being in there several days and nights being locked up in a jail cell he got out. Then I was in the jail all by myself with no other prisoners locked up in the whole jail.
That night shortly after lights out between 9-10 pm I heard a ''loud shrill of a whistle'' in my jail cell. I was the only prisoner in the whole jail all by myself at the time

with no explanation of the loud whistle to this date 8/5/13.

Comment by William: I heard of stories of such from prisoners in other jails throughout the US and other countries. It seems jails are a haunting place of lost souls for some reason or another. Not only county jails but prisons, dungeons, and city jails as well.

I'm sure there are more stories out there but the non-believing witnesses for some reason are reluctant to speak of any paranormal incidences.
