Abbey View Cemetery: In 2013 I lived in MLT near where Brier, Lake Forest Park, and MLT Converge. I used to run around Abbey View Cemetery, as in, I would circumnavigate it, but generally not run through it. (It seems disrespectful to run in the graveyard. ) My grandparents lived near the cemetery when I was quite young, a baby through about 10 years old. I could see the enormous white marble Jesus statue from the bedroom at my grandparents'. I have always

been attracted to that cemetery, and used to have vivid dreams about it as a child, particularly that statue, although I am non-religious. As an adult,

I was obsessed with it when I lived down the road in MLT. I used to enjoy skulking around the cemetery at twilight reading the headstones and trying to imagine the lives of the people that reside there.
One spring afternoon I was out running before work in April or May. It was sunny and clear out, about 2pm, and it was warm, about 60 or so degrees, very nice for Washington spring weather. I was running outside the cemetery, up the curving road that
