In the winter of 2012 my family and I were driving off the island going over Deception Pass bridge. It was raining really hard so my brother was driving really slow. I was looking out the window on the right-hand side, we were talking about how pretty and how neat it was going over the bridge. (New to the area) Then I saw a boy around 9, 10 maybe 13 years old wearing a black sweater. I asked everyone if they saw that little boy? We all did but when we looked out the back window he wasn't there.
It was kind of weird for a little boy to be out in the rain alone so my brother turned around to see if he might need help. We couldn't find the little boy so we continued on our way to the Olive Garden. I later found out that the bridge has been used commit suicide. I don't know if it was ghost or maybe somebody committed suicide.

Comment by Jordan: Not long before you witnessed a little boy. A family from out of state was here visiting. They had twin boys around that age. They were hiking on one of the trails. During that time there was a mass search going on in the water for a jumper. It's said one of the boys was amazed by all the action in the water. No one saw him walk towards the edge. He must have slipped. When they went to find him all they found was a toy car laying next to the edge. It could have been the little boy you saw. His family had to go home without him. They never found his body. Super sad but wouldn't be shocked if that's the case.

Troxell Landing. In 1967 I married a Navy man stationed in Oak Harbor, Washington. There was a waiting list for Naval housing, so we had to find a temporary place to live until a unit became available. Someone at Church referred us to a lady whose husband was away on business in Alaska. She had two little girls and thought if someone were living in the house with her she would feel safer, so she was looking for someone to rent a room in their house. She said that she had a dog she would normally keep outdoors, but she was so frightened at night that she would sleep on the couch in the living room with the dog on the floor beside her. The room she was offering was large and had its own bath, and we would be allowed to share the kitchen and living room. Not long after we had moved in, however, she said that she missed her husband so much that she was going to go visit him, and left for a week.
