When I was around 17 in the 80s, me and a friend were walking in Point Roberts looking for a party. We had consumed a few beers but still sober, we went on for some time finally realizing we could not find the house party so we walked towards the cliffs passing the old graveyard.
We turned around after a short while and decided to head back to our friends place. Shortly after passing the graveyard coming back we began hearing noises like the whispering

of many people in an open field.
We were confused at first but decided to follow the sounds. Jumping a wood fence we walked into the field almost in
|
a trance until suddenly the whispering stopped. Startled we ran out of the field and down the road for some time trying to understand what just occurred.
We got back to our friends place never to talk of it again. This was the only unexplained moment I have encountered in my life.
