There have been multiple encounters with a female figure inside Nauti Mermaid on Bay Street (formerly the VFW building). I have seen her and heard ethereal crying. Several co-workers and guests have as well. Doors open and close suddenly. Kitchen staff have felt a cold presence move past them as they travel between the kitchen (up in the loft) and the dining area and bar downstairs. The female spirit so far seems benevolent. I've lived in Port Orchard, Washington all my life, and I've had the same paranormal activity happen to me my whole life, so I've grown used to it. In both my houses I would be home alone at some points of the day, and I have a couple animals. However, it would normally be when I'm in my room or in the living room that I would hear walking. At first in my old house I thought someone broke in, but when I went to go check it out it wouldn't be anything. The sound of walking always happened in my old house.
I live in a new house now, and in the middle of the night I would be awake with my friend. We both heard boots walking outside the door. We finally got the nerve to walk out and tell my parents, but there was no one walking around in the house. Both of these houses I've lived in are located next to Long Lake.
