glowing light as if the last of the setting sun's rays were piercing the forest canopy. As it was a small open glen there off the trail, I could see a little further.
There on my side of an old-growth stump, I saw a misty figure holding an old fashioned long bow pointing away from me towards the far end of the glen. As I stopped and stared at the figure, I could make out other features -- long black hair braided on each side. I could see a lone

feather behind the top of his head. He looked like Native Americans you see in old westerns. Clive unfortunately chose that time to let out an audible
|
fearful whine. Quickly the figure turned around. I could see his eyes spring open wide with an expression of intense anger as if I had ruined his hunt.
It may have been my imagination, but the temperature seemed to suddenly drop to a chill, and it was much darker. He ran towards me! There was an incredible amount of noise as he crashed through the brush towards me. Clive and I headed towards my car as quickly as we could run. Clive hopped into the front
