My husband at the time, our two-year-old daughter, and I were renting a house on the corner of Birch Avenue and Kuntz. At first we just noticed thumps and shuffling noises coming from what seemed like the adjoining half of our duplex. The landlord had told us he was renovating it to rent out, and it was currently vacant, so we assumed it was him or his workers in there. He would sometimes work on it later in the day, but we didn't think much of it.

up a conversation, and she mentioned hearing weird thumping at night when she and the kids were in bed. I had too, but thought it was them. She's also had kitchen cabinets open when she went into the kitchen that she'd sworn were closed. We had the same problem with our basement door. It was a big double door, and sometimes we'd be sitting on the couch watching TV, and we'd actually hear it clicking open. We started to get a little freaked out at that
