It has been a couple of years now and we still can't find any other reportings like it about Roy Washington. My wife and I were passing through town in the early hours of the morning on two different occasions.
Rounding the corner leaving town we both viewed what looked to be an old-time western cavalry officer in a duster standing to a backdrop of woods. As we rounded the corner this vision seemed to rotate as if shifting to follow us.

The strange thing about this was both of us have seen this same vision twice and cannot recall any clothing colors. In addition the corner in question in the daytime clearly has a house sitting on it and no woods.

It is the corner just past the post office just leaving town.

Comment by Brad: This sucks as I live so close to Roy Elementary all I must do is hop my fence and I'm in the school yard.
Comment by Donna: My husband and I saw the exact same thing in the same location about 21 years ago around 1:00 am. I was just telling my coworker about this incident, and she found this article. It was very strange indeed. We also did not notice any color on the cowboy type man we saw. He appeared like looking at an old black and white photo. He also appeared to rotate as we drove past him.
