My fiancé and I had moved into an apartment in the north area of the University District on 15th and 55th I think. One night while we were sleeping he awoke suddenly to the sound of a small child's footsteps in the hallway coming towards the bedroom. He said they were little quick steps that sounded like the child was wearing those footed pajamas with the rubber or plastic on the bottom of the feet. He then saw the ghost-like child run into our bedroom,

giggling playfully, and he went to hide in the closet that had sliding doors. He woke me up saying ''Did you hear that? Did you see it?'' I hadn't since

I was asleep. He was convinced it was real and said it was like the child was playing hide-and-seek. That was 25 years ago, and I'll never forget it.
