I grew up in Shelton living in homes all around town. Once my grandmother passed away, we inherited her house out in Lake Limerick and lived there for a few years. The property was right up against dense forest, and whenever I'd be outside playing, I'd have this feeling of being watched and would periodically sprint inside after being spooked. The property itself was cleared of trees, and the stumps were all dumped into a big hole then filled in. Then the house

was built on top of it. It was an older home, and once the stumps started to decompose the house started to sink at one corner.

down under the house inspecting the damage one day, and they both came up through the crawlspace looking pale. My mom asked, ''What had happened?'' One guy spoke up, ''We saw your mom down there.'' They said nothing else about the experience and soon left. Fast forward about six months, one of our family friends was over helping us clean.
