I had gone to the Indian graveyard years ago when there were still empty graves, but 3 tombstones remained. We got weird foggy smoke like film around most the pictures, and it wad a clear night no fog anywhere. I have heard about the stick Indians growing up and used to go down that road but it's cleared out now. Submitted by Cherie
Comment by Kim: I've been there many times. The head stones change positions. I walked deeper in the woods past the head stones which were facing in the direction I was walking. I heard something move. When I came back toward the road the stone was facing the opposite direction it had moved. You also get a sense that you are not quite here. You are in between here and somewhere else, it is also very noticeably colder near the protected graves. The grave stone moving has happened several different times to me. I have a lot of stories about that place.
Comment by Anonymous: When I was in elementary school my bus always went through the Indian graveyard. I really liked the place with all the trees and fog. I moved to Montana a couple years ago and completely forgot about this place. I moved back in January and went through the graveyard. It's all cleared out now and I'm kind of disappointed. I like to go out and take a drive just to think. I don't really pay attention to where I'm going but I always end up there. Always. Kind of drawn to it actually.

I have many stories of Shelton. I was raised here. This story is true. My two brothers back in the 1980s took their girlfriends out on a Friday night to the Indian graveyard near Capital Hill. This is out on a back logging road in the woods and abandoned. They drove their truck and two trees fell in front and in back of the truck. They were stuck with no flashlights and it was dark. The girls were freaked and wanted to go home so they all walked out. My brothers knew the legend of the ''Stickman''.
