My friend had recently left the occult to become a Christian and said the spirit was following her and just ignore it so it would go away. I moved out.

At 2 am traveling south on Perry St. From 57th I saw a female figure 'floating' along the sidewalk in a long flowing white gown. She had long white hair. My first thought was that someone's grandma had escaped their house but I did not stop.

I went to a friend's house who lived nearby and told them what I saw but they only made fun of me. Almost 20 years later my friend called me to say they were in that same area again to visit and she saw the white floating figure! I say floating because it glides forward.

My friend described the figure exactly as I remembered it even though she wouldn't listen to my story the night it occurred. (evidently there is an old cemetery nearby... ) this happened originally in 1989.

Comment by Jesse: I stumbled on this and didn't even know it was you, it made me call you late at night cause I knew you had a similar story and then noticed at the bottom it said mother, I knew that was you, I love you... Totally trippy to bump into in cyber space lol.
