another strange personal experience with a ghost; I was house-sitting my dad's place for a week back in the mid '90s. After a few days, the mail-slot door which is on the inside of the living room wall slammed shut.

It flips upwards from a hinge, making it a little more than odd. Nothing else really occurred during my stay. When he returned I asked if anything unusual happened to him or his wife. They said no.

A few months later, they had a large statue removed from a spot in their backyard to be relocated. Under the statue was a tin can. In the can were the ashes of the original house owner's mother. No joke.
They had the person come get the ashes and he felt bad for putting my dad through that. At least it explained the mail-slot shutting by itself!
