One night I was in bed. My cousin and his family were living with us in a small 3 bedroom duplex. My cousin was in the same room as me. We had heard stomping down the stairs. Feeling scared we hid in the room.
After a while we got the courage to get up and investigate. I had my pocket knife with me so we felt safe. We checked all the rooms upstairs and everyone was asleep. So we went downstairs only to find the same thing.

We looked around and there was nothing there. We had walked back upstairs to our room. We shut the door and stayed in there the rest of the night. While we were in there we heard more sounds from around the house.

We never did get sleep. Luckily it never happened again.

I used to live in this house on 8th Street up on the South Hill when I was about 11. It was me, my dad, my two bros, my dad's lady friend and teen daughter. I remember every time I happened to fall asleep in the basement (our game room / family room) I would hear running up and down the stairs...
