It was several years ago after a day of volunteering that I noticed that I had misplaced my wallet and thought that I had lost it while performing civic duties earlier in the day. I tried to sleep but was unable and realized that I had better go look for it.
Night time in Uniontown can be very dark with few streetlights and fewer residents. I grabbed my flashlight and started my expedition and headed outside of town. I would normally be concerned
with the busy highway, because of the hour the traffic had dwindled to nothing and left me feeling alone.
I could see by the faint glimmer from the
moon a mist was forming at the tops of the surrounding Rolling Hills. Normally I could hear the haunting sounds of coyotes baying at who knows what, but tonight it was eerily quiet.
Just outside of town there is an abandoned house that has sat empty for many years. The house was in sad shape, when it was remodeled some years ago the roof windows and paint were redone. Most people reading this know the house I am referring to but I choose not to
