I would hear knocking as if someone knocked on a door often, but it was at the side of the house near the closet wall, and my only main door is in the front of the house. If another person was in the bedroom at the time, they would yell from across the house ''are you knocking on a wall!?'' I obviously would not be.
During summer I resided my house. I was removing the siding by the bedrooms outside, and I uncovered something that gave me chills

- the original door to the house - still in its frame, still on the hinges, and LOCKED TIGHT. It was even hastily boarded up with lumber in a criss-cross

pattern. The door did not even jiggle; it was solid. The previous owners just buried it in siding.
The craziest part? Where the old door was would be the EXACT spot I or a house guest would hear someone knocking - as if to get in.

On October 9th 2015 my friend who was visiting and I couldn't sleep well that night. We are avid walkers so we decided to walk along the Columbia River and through the landbridge walking trail that has the west coast's oldest apple tree.
