When I was twelve or thirteen, my mother directed a summer camp in the area. Each camp session, the campers would spend one night at the camp farm located at the end of a long logging road that ran through some fairly dense woods. As the director, it was my mom's job to come up and visit them while they were sitting around the campfire. One week when I was visiting, I accompanied my mom on the walk through the woods to the farm where the campers were.

As we were walking, I saw something out of the corner of my eye. It appeared to be a woman. I doubted what I was seeing or thought my mind was playing

tricks on me because the form looked like a storybook/clichéd version of what a ghost should be.
She seemed to have materialized out of nowhere from the knot of a tree. She was white and transparent. She ''returned'' to the tree and vaporized almost as quickly as she had appeared, but in that split second moment I got a full sense of what she looked like and the energy she gave off. She appeared to be a young woman, perhaps a farm worker or
