My oldest brother was the only one home and he was sleeping because he had a night job. Some time in the early afternoon he awoke to find his wall and bed on fire and there was a man dressed in old time miner's type clothing just standing in the doorway laughing.
In a panic about the fire he got up and ran right through the man to the sink in the next room for water. As soon as the fire was out he started thinking about the whole

turn of events and how he had ran right through the man.
As the years went by there were other events less significant than that one. A couple more

small fire incidents and my oldest sister had seen a woman with a little boy and a little girl all dressed in mid 1800s clothing.
Some times we would feel a gentle touch or a mischievous prank or something. While doing remodeling on the outer wall to add some insulation we found a used Scottish clay pipe. As legends goes when Scottish men are done with a pipe they throw it on the ground real hard so that it breaks into several pieces.
