When I was a little girl we moved into a house on Avalon Street. My bedroom was upstairs above my brother's room. My brother and I were only a year apart so we played a lot of the same games and did a lot of the same activities.
One day I was in my room laying on my bed when I heard my door handle start to turn slowly. I stayed there watching it, waiting for my brother to jump in and scare me, but as soon as the handle was turned half way my door opened the slightest then stopped. I called out to my brother telling him that I knew it was him and that I caught him before he could scare me, but there was no answer.

I got up and walked towards the door telling my brother once again that I knew it was him, but when I opened the door and looked out into the hallway... No one was there... I proceeded down the hallway looking for my brother, but he was nowhere to be found. A few seconds later my mom and my brother walked in the front door with food from McDonalds. My brother was never there; I was alone the whole time, so who opened my door? I know it wasn't the wind because no windows were open, and I know my handle turned because it had a bear sticker on it and the bear turned as the handle was turning.

There are other things that I have witnessed in that house. The house has a family room downstairs right next to the laundry room. One night when I was doing laundry I was walking out of the laundry room with my basket of clothes when all of a sudden the laundry room door slammed behind me. I dropped my basket of clothes and ran to my brother's room frantically telling him what had happened. He said it was probably something that fell and caused the door to close. We went to open the door to see what happened. The door wouldn't open, as if it was locked, but we didn't have a lock on that door...
All of a sudden we were able to open it. We looked behind it, but nothing was blocking it. Why did it shut? And why wouldn't it open? Every time I go down there to this day I feel a very dark presence. I don't know what it is or who it is but there's definitely something or someone down there.
Another thing strange that happened was when I had my first child. I was still living at my parents' house in the same upstairs bedroom. One night I awoke to the sound of my daughter talking and standing in front of the floor lamp. I asked her what she was doing and she turned her head slowly to look at me and said ''they told me to come to the light'' I asked ''who? '' and she just kept staring at the light. I pulled her away and woke my mom and told her what had happened. She said my daughter was probably dreaming.
