There were groups that used the grave yard for some sort of rituals. We went once and found a burned circle in the ground with about 8 piles of clothing laying around it; pants, tops, shoes, and everything except wallets which would have been nice to ID these people and ask what they were doing, but I'm not sure we really wanted to know.
After that it was too scary to want to go there any more. One of the things that I had learned later from a couple

of old timers around the area was that there were families buried out there who had mostly died from an outbreak of cholera or something similar and that

later the graves had been robbed.
I do know that many of those old farm houses in that area are haunted. One in particular is over on Scenic Loop Road. Their ghost seems to be a friendly one if he is even there still. After the family moved out the house was torn down and replaced by a new one.
While they lived there though their youngest learned his abc's one day and came down from his room to demonstrate to his mom. When she asked where he learned
