Have heard a little girl in one of the apartments at Hawthorne House in Woodland, WA. There was no one there though. Some of the residents seem ''possessed'' in that they lash out so fiercely at people. It is a creepy place.

Comment by Tom: The people there are not possessed and this should be retracted. Some of these folks have Alzheimer's and are very sick. This is an elderly/disabled facility. The part about the little girl could be true. I've heard that before...

Several years ago we ended up with a ghostly encounter that started out with being shown a recorded video which was done so by my ex-stepfather. He was recording my little brother eating some food when his video went dark for a second then went back to normal brightness. It was as if someone he couldn't see passed by. That's when we assumed we were being haunted. Sometime later when my little sister and I were in bed the red balloon in our room started moving in multiple directions. Nothing happened after that.

From the time I came here nearly fifteen years ago I have spent time at the Shell gas station. Regularly, all these years, I have seen three separate 'shadows' pass thru the building from specific places. I often noticed employees shiver and/or look around or behind their back. After two years of this I pried ''I'd swear I just saw a dark man come thru that window and right into that end freezer. '' Look of surprise, then ''I did too- must have been headlights. '' Night after night I got coffee there. Finally one employee, then 2, then 3 admitted separately to seeing what I was seeing (not knowing what I was seeing, but talking to a 'regular') and begging me never to repeat their words for fear of being made fun of.
Over the next few years, after being able to mark exact paths of three separate Native Americans passing thru the building, I tried another tactic. ''Don't you get nervous working alone here at night so close to the freeway and all?'' Never a no, but a few said there were other things though, that bugged them. They have had a feeling of being watched, or someone behind them, thinking they saw someone come through the door into the bathroom but no one there (bathroom wall touches last freezer and window right by door. ) The more I was there, with no further 'suggestions', just drinking my coffee, the more employees opened up to me, so finally many admitted to three different presences: a short man (approx. 5'4'') passing thru the first window into the far freezer, the 2nd a man about 5'7'' passing thru the 4th window into the men's room door, (parallel to the end freezer) and a very tall (about 6'2') dark presence that never passed but came from the back room closest to the work island and just stood there. (EXACTLY what I had seen all along but never once mentioned) He was the only one always seen without a shirt of any kind. He was bald head and had large muscles, and he would be gone in an instant. The others were in 'jean' type pants and flannel shirts. Most times no traffic or lights were visible to explain.
