MIXED GHOST SIGHTINGS

There is a home in Galena that was the sight of a murder in either the late 70s or early 80s. An elderly woman was murdered by a man walking down her street one night and shoved into her broom closet. It was a horrific murder as you can imagine. Fast forward about 30 years or so. Someone I know cleaned the house for the owners. There are reports of strange noises throughout the house, bull bodied apparitions as well as something very strange that occurred to the owner. One day she was looking through a catalog in the home and found a rug that she adored. She imagined what the rug would look like in her kitchen and never mentioned it to her husband or anyone else for that matter. The very next day the exact rug showed up at her doorstep with no explanation of how it ever got there. The owners have since sold the home.

Working at the lake house, I've experienced very dark feelings and energy in the basement. It feels as if someone was always right behind me. My ears would always get hot and if I come running back upstairs, I would be feeling extremely angry and disgruntled. Definitely a presence there .
By the way the area around Wait Street is very haunted.

I stayed in a room in ''Old Hickory'' one summer in 1969. There were noises knocking screaming in a man's voice coming from the top. Very scary.
I used to live on Ruth Street. Extremely haunted. Moved 13 years ago. Still have nightmares. Stay away from Sam.
Well I was sitting in my chair with my radio turned all the way up beside me. All alone just me and the radio. With a movie case which has a glass case I took my eyes off my TV for only a second to look for a movie.
When I turned to look through it I saw a man standing there. He was just standing looking dead at me. I couldn't see the face but he had a white t-shirt with blue jeans watch. It took me a split second to turn around and no one was there.
There was a lady in her late 30's or early 40's who has had many physics over in her apartment. She believes the building is haunted and with what I saw that day. So do I. Even now I hear things like pots moving someone throwing a shoe and even some doors closing.
All when I'm home alone.
My mom built her house on a site where the previous house had burned down with the owner inside. I remember a lot of strange things happening when I was a kid. Once my mom went to sit down in a chair and I could see someone already sitting in it.
I tried to stop her but she sat down too quick, screamed and jumped back up. She said the chair was icy and wet feeling. A couple of nights when my mom was working my dad would be watching TV and the channel would start to change by itself.
We had one of the old TVs where you had to spin the dial to change the channel so no chance he was sitting on the remote. There were also the strange hearing things when your home alone, moments, and things disappearing and reappearing in obvious places you've already looked.
The scariest moment was when me and a friend were playing on a hill in the spare lot next to the house... We were rolling down a hill and a butcher knife appeared in the grass. It wasn't there the first few times, we kept rolling in the same spot.
If I hadn't seen it and yelled for my friend to stop she would have rolled on it and got cut. My great grandma was really odd too... Some people said she was a witch (I believe it but she never said so).
When she was over all the weird stuff went into hyper drive. We had some coke in glass bottles on the table and they just cracked and fell apart. Gran would talk to people who weren't there. Just an odd sort of feeling...
Back in the 80's, I was driving to Bartow from Fort Meade one winter evening around 8:00. I decided to drive the back roads which took me down old Homeland road. As I approached the old cemetery, a fire erupted crossing old Homeland road, making me come to a complete stop.
I was forced to turn around and go back a different way. As I attempted to do a 3 point turn, I noticed a translucent man walking in the cemetery. He vanished after a few seconds of seeing him. I turned around and will never drive down old Homeland road again.
My girlfriend and her husband bought a day care center that used to be a church (near the airport). They lived downstairs. The day care was upstairs. I was visiting them and sleeping in the guest house when I woke up to footsteps pacing back and forth.
I crawled into my friend's room reporting someone in the house. Apparently they had at least 4 spirits still living there. Some of the younger day-care kids had told their parents about a playmate who had drowned.
There was a young women who kept a rocking chair going at night a man in his 30's who paced back and forth all night and an older woman. Every time I spent the night there over the years I had an encounter.
These spirits never caused any problems. I had never believed in ghosts before that encounter. That's no longer the case....
My friends have told me stories about a shadowy dark figure at headlands elementary. Headlands closed down and all the kids from there came to Sterling Morton elementary. So did the shadowy figure. I saw his shadow in the trees.
I live in Union Station now. I see things in my house.. I googled and it got me here. Interested in more you know...

I have lived in Suwanee for 19 years. When we first moved here my daughter and I had the feeling that someone was watching us. Through the years I have heard walking, felt him standing next to me. He would also take things like tools, keys, remote to the TV, and then he would put them back months to a year later where they belonged. Last year I was going to take some pictures of an antique bed to send to an antique dealer. When I went to upload the pictures to send I was shocked to see the swirls of clouds in the picture. I sent them to a friend to show her the proof for the first time of the ghost. She is the one that pointed out the four ghosts in the picture that I hadn't noticed.
You can clearly see the one face in the floor inside the bed frame. The others are in the picture to the right of the one in the floor. A few months ago my dog was lying in the bed when she suddenly started growling with her hackles up and peering into the bedroom where I had taken the pictures. She would not go see what it was and refused to go with me in the room. She has done this a couple of times since. I know she has seen the ghost too. My neighbor has also taken pictures before I moved in at her house of floating blue orbs in her hallway. Recently she told me that she knew who the ghosts were. There is a sign on Old Peachtree Road about a plane crash that happened in 1953. She said that the plane crashed where we live and that it must be the ghost we have seen.

I lived in Meshoppen Pa for more than 20 years and have in fact not only experienced the headlights on snake hill numerous times but in the apartment building I used to live in and own. I had some experiences there also.
#1. I had run out of gas for my stove but when I went out to my kitchen my oven was on 450. #2. I havea habit of always keeping appliances unplugged and in my absent minded way threw bread in the toaster to make toast.
About 2 minutes later I went back out to get my toast because it had popped up and was done to find out that the toaster had been unplugged the whole time I never plugged it in. #3 there would be on more than one occasion a mist in the dining room area no one was smoking no candles maybe throwing off smoke and in that same room there is a door that leads into a big walk-in closet that my dogs would constantly stand and stare at this door and bark uncontrolably.
#4 every time I would buy a new flashlight and batteries or anything that required batteries something would drain it and Id have to buy new... I went threw a lot of batteries living there. And this last thing is the most scariest.
#5 I had fallen asleep on my couch one night to be woken up to a dark figure hovering over me that disappeared but whatever it was held me down on the couch so strongly that it was almost like I was paralyzed I couldn't move breathe or scream.
When some of the pressure subsided whatever this thing was lifted me a good 4 feet off the couch and dropped me back down on the couch.
I live around Ustache area. I was laying down one night and for some reason I woke up. No noises had woken me up.. I just.. Woke up. I had seen something in the corner of my eye. When I looked I saw a glowy white haze floating above me.
It was really freaky since I've lived in a haunted house before. A couple months earlier I had taken a picture and a little girl appeared in the background of it. Also just last night as I was texting my boyfriend.
My brother went to the bathroom when he got out I could hear him close the door and someone walked into the living room (where I was) but it didn't look like him. As the black shadow walked into the kitchen I could hear my brother's door close so now I knew it wasn't him.
As the figure took a couple more steps.. It disappeared. I am now freaked out to be home alone d: (I'm only 13).
There has been several sightings of a janitor in the school yelling in the school. The owner said that a janitor was possessed and after he was fired he shot himself and 4 kids found him dying and let him die.
This man is standing in our yard looking at us in Trinity Cove.
There's this park on Loughlin Avenue that I swear is haunted. I went there a couple of weeks ago and I heard a voice behind me say ''hello there''. I turned around and nobody was there. There was no place anyone could have gone that fast.
I don't know the history of the park but maybe someone got killed there. I would really love to find out what happened there to cause this haunting.
There is a place on Fairfield Road. It's the old Swimmer Cemetery. Not many around still know about it. In 1936 records says 5 graves found 3 stones standing. Old timers from area remember it well. They say it's a big cemetery. From looking on the new house porch (built in the 60s right in front of the old house) you can tell a difference in the grass. I lived there and strange things happen in the rooms. Just down the hallway and bedrooms though.
Land was allotted to the Native Americans after trail of tears. Previous owner, two owners back, I believe pulled up stones and dumped them in the holler. I have founds parts of stones lying around. I saw a figure about a year ago. Saw two. I found $5 bill folded in half next morning where one was standing. An apple in old orchard is of significance as someone keeps whistling, even after branches were cut 4 feet high up.
My dogs and I have heard people talking in the room beside us but can't make out the words. I've heard a car pull in, but no one out there in broad daylight. The events go on and on. Finally my girlfriend spent the night, and she heard someone whistle. Bad luck keeps happening when someone stays or spends any amount of time out on the place. Most recently as of June 1st, 2015 all windows were replaced, and they keep cracking in a weird half circle. Installer says he's installed thousands and never had this happen. County won't even replace them.
If you have any information on the history of this place please contact me. This was a fully self functional farm for all needs in years past. It stayed vacant for 20 years. Everything left in house all those years like someone just abandoned it quick for some reason. Yellow house. Big red barn and red garage on west side.
I was going to sleep one night, just finishing an essay on an old house that was torn down (oldham house) , when I heard running across my floor. When I looked out of my bed, a little girl, who was quite transparent stared at me with a smile on her face.
Then she materialized away. But you could still hear her giggling.
I will post a simple story. Something quick and a little creepy. So have you ever been driving down litchfeild Rd late at night between the farm and cemetery? They are pretty far apart. If you do one night keep an eye out for a girl looking young but not too young.
She is somewhere in her late teens to late twenties. She should be wearing a nice white dress carrying a bottle in her hand. As you drive by she doesn't move even though you are just inches from hitting her.
She is literally able to touch your car with her hand. Don't pick her up. She may seem helpless and drunk in need of help. But she isn't really there she is a spirit. I don't know how she died or why she still haunts the road but she is there.
I and two others saw her myself being the only believer in the car. We turned to look for her to see if she was real but she wasn't there. Simple short... And chilling. Just to so you know... If you do pick her up she will be there one second and not the next.
So beware my friends. She is friendly though so no fear there.
